Kitchen-Sink

I am calling this area the kitchen-sink, because this place will showcase a bunch of random stuff. Anything that I want to share with you but does not belong in the other catagories.

Cool Kids Mascot and How It’s Made

The Cool Kids mascot was made in 3D using 3DStudios Max, a 3D computer software. Creating this character is a little more involved but I use to work in the game and film industry so I have that skill set. The mascot in the daker background images shows the creation process. The low poly model is what I model in 3D. Once that it built, it will generate a higher poly model. The lines on the model is to show you the density of the model. The last image with the boxes around the figure is the skeleton for rigging. It’s the underneath structure that is used to deform and move the figure.

CoolHeroZero in Fortnite

For those of you who play Fortnite, you know I am a huge fan of the game. Unfortunately, I just don’t have the reflexes of a teenager. But that doesn’t mean I can’t have a good game once in a while. I play squads with my kids almost on a daily basis, and what proves to work better than trying to be a sweat is teamwork. It is amazing the battles we can win against sweats when we work as a team. My reflexes are slower so I am most effective at mid range with an AR, while my kids with their fast reflexes fight up close. Dealing damages both from close range and from afar works wonders.

Anyhow, I was very excited about these Tron skins that became available in the shop. I couldn’t resist since I love the Tron movies, especially the sequel. I had to buy the “Quorra” Bitstream skin for 1500 vBucks. It comes with disc pickaxe and also serves as a back-bling. When you are not pickaxing, the disc is placed behind you like a back pack. Just like in the movies!

My screen name in Fortnite is CoolHeroZero. I had to get a screen shot of this new skin because it’s just so cool….
